I've been taking my car to the same place to be serviced for years. The owner of place is a really interesting man. He can tell a great story which rates quite high with me. He is a kind, honest and hardworking man. So after all these years I asked him,
"So what's the story, are you married, single or what?"
He informed me that he had been separated for some time (years) and was still trying to work things out. I wanted to say,
"Well, let me know when you are single so I can legally flirt with you."
I believe that men who are separated are off limits for dating and flirting especially if they are still trying to work things out. But the real drawback is it may be a warning signal if they haven't got the gumption to either end the relationship or the commitment to get on board and make it work. They may be wishy-washy in other relationships.
I'm looking for a man with passion and conviction who can see things through.
But for now, I'll continue to enjoy his stories.

Putting it Out There
My massage therapist is truly my "therapist." When I told him I thought I was ready for a relationship he asked me if I knew what I wanted in a man. Well of course I did. Then he replied in his Shaolin Master Voice (which he often does when he is proclaiming words of wisdom) "Remember, what you ask for will not appear in the package you expect."
Scary thought. I'll just go for the package then.
"So how do I go about finding him?" I asked
Again in his Shaolin Master's Voice he said, "Just put it out there."
Honey, I've been putting it out there for years!
I thought back to my goal setting years where I had listed in detail what I wanted in a man in quite a bit of detail. Tony Robbins said that is what he did to find his now ex-wife.
All I know is that at this point in my life I still want something more than a reason to use the carpool lane.

My New Year's Resolution
I think it is finally time. I am taking a chance and leaving my comfort zone and looking for love, a companion, or even just a date. This should be an interesting journey.
